6. application

You can send your application by post, by e-mail ( Karriere@Unternehmen.de) or via our career portal. If you apply to us, we process the information that we receive from you as part of the application process, e.g. through letters of application, CVs, references or other contact options. In addition to your contact details, information about your education, qualifications, work experience and skills is of particular relevance to us. We will only assess you according to your suitability for the position in question, so you do not need to send us a photo.

Your data will initially be processed exclusively for the purpose of carrying out the application procedure and deciding on an employment relationship. The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is Section 26 (1) BDSG. If your application is successful, your personal data will become part of your personnel file. The HR department initially has access to this database and can involve the relevant parties in the company in the selection process by authorising them to do so.

7. Cookies und Server Log-Files

The Internet pages of the KIRCHHOFF Ecotec AG use cookies. Cookies are text files that are placed and stored on a computer system via an Internet browser.

The use of cookies enables the websites and servers visited to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from others.

Some cookies are essential for the operation and display of the website and do not collect any personal information. Others, however, make it possible to adapt your site visit to your preferences and user behaviour. In this case, we ask for your consent to set these optional cookies when you visit our website for the first time.

You can prevent the setting of cookies for all websites by changing the settings of your Internet browser. You can configure your browser settings according to your wishes and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. Cookies that have already been set can be deleted. We would like to point out that you may not be able to use all the functions of this website.

For technical reasons, so-called server log files are also created. In these files, the hosting provider stores technical data (e.g. browser type and browser version, operating system used, time of the enquiry, IP address, etc.) that the browser automatically transmits to it. This data is not merged with other data, so that it is not possible to identify a person.

(Usercentrics)

We use the consent management service Usercentrics, of Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Str. 7, 80331 Munich, Germany (Usercentrics). This enables us to obtain and manage the consent of website users for data processing. The processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation (Art. 7 para. 1 GDPR) to which we are subject (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR). The following data is processed for this purpose

Date and time of access Browser information Device information Geographical location Cookie preferences URL of the page visited

The functionality of the website is not guaranteed without the processing.

Usercentrics is the recipient of your personal data and acts as a processor for us.

The processing takes place in the European Union. Further information on objection and removal options vis-à-vis Usercentrics can be found at: https://usercentrics.com/de/datenschutzerklaerung/

The data will be deleted after 3 years.

Please refer to our general information on deleting and deactivating cookies above. [PL1]

8. Google Services

Google (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The controller is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland) offers a variety of services. Google collects data about the apps, browsers and devices you use to access Google services in the form of individual activities (e.g. search terms, browsing history, purchase activities) or location data (e.g. GPS, IP address, Wi-Fi access points).

The legal basis for the integration of all Google services and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). [YH2]

However, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

You can find Google's privacy policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de and the additional terms of use for Google Maps here: https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.

10.1 Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files which are stored on your computer and which enable your use of the website to be analysed.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You can find more information on this at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de or at http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html (general information on Google Analytics and data protection). We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" to ensure anonymised collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

10.2 Use of Google Optimise

Our website uses the web analysis and optimisation service "Google Optimize", which is provided by Google. The Google Optimize service is used to increase the attractiveness, content and functionality of our website by displaying new functions and content to a percentage of our users and statistically analysing the change in usage. Google Optimise is a sub-service of Google Analytics (see above).

Google Optimize uses cookies to optimise and analyse your use of our website. You can find out how to prevent the storage of cookies under point 10.1.

10.3 Route calculation with Google Maps

We use "Google Maps" on our website, a service provided by Google Inc. When using Google Maps, Google collects data about the use of the Maps functions by visitors to the websites.

10.4 Use of Google AdWords

Our website also uses the Google advertising tool "Google Adwords" from the provider Google Inc.

Google's so-called "conversion tracking" is used as part of the online advertising programme. After clicking on an advert placed by Google, a cookie is stored on your computer. These "conversion cookies" lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to identify you personally.

If you visit our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that you as a user have clicked on one of our ads placed on Google and have been redirected to our site. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers.

The information collected via the cookie is used by Google to compile visit statistics for our website. These statistics tell us the total number of users who have clicked on our advert and which pages of our website were subsequently accessed. However, users cannot be personally identified using this information.

You can prevent the installation of "conversion cookies" by setting your browser accordingly (see the Cookies section).

Details on Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

10.5 Use of Google Web Fonts

To display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries on this website, such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google web fonts are transferred to the cache of your browser to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google web fonts or prevents access, content is displayed in a standard font.

Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible for operators of such libraries to collect data.

10.6 Use of Google Tag Manager

We use the service called Google Tag Manager from Google. "Google" is a group of companies consisting of Google Ireland Ltd (provider of the service), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA and other affiliated companies of Google LLC.

We have concluded an order processing contract with Google. Google Tag Manager is an auxiliary service and processes personal data itself only for technically necessary purposes. Google Tag Manager ensures that other components are loaded, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data.

You can find more information about Google Tag Manager in Google's privacy policy.

Please note that American authorities, such as intelligence agencies, could possibly gain access to personal data that is inevitably exchanged with Google when this service is integrated on the basis of the Internet Protocol (TCP) due to American laws such as the Cloud Act.

9. Social Media

We create online presences within social networks in order to communicate with the interested parties and users active there and to be able to inform them about us.

User data may be processed by the service provider outside of the European Union. This may result in risks for users because, for example, it could make it more difficult to enforce users' rights.

The social media page you visit offers you the opportunity to react to our posts, comment on them, create a user post yourself and send us private messages with personal requests. The data you provide in this context and which may be accessible to us (e.g. user name, pictures, interests, contact details) will be used by us exclusively for the purpose of communicating with customers and interests. Our interest lies in offering you a platform on which we can display current information and with the help of which you can address your request to us and we can respond to your request as quickly as possible.

We also use social plugins on our websites for the social networks we use. You can recognise the plugins of the respective providers by their logo. When you visit a page with such a plugin, the operator of the service is informed which pages you visit. User profiles can be created from the processed data. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data that an activated plugin collects and how it is used by the provider.

We do not carry out any further data processing in addition to the basic functions of the website. Please note that the service provider may use tracking tools and cookies independently of our use of the site.

We will inform you below about the durch uns durchgeführte Verarbeitung Ihrer personenbezogenen Daten im Rahmen der von uns bereitgestellten Onlinepräsenzen. Der EuGH hat in seinem Urteil vom 5. Juni 2018 die gemeinsame Verantwortung der Dienstanbieter und des Seitenbetreibers bestätigt.

For a detailed description of the respective processing and the possibilities of objection (opt-out), we refer to the information provided by the providers we use. In the case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we would also like to point out that these can be asserted most effectively with the providers. Only the providers have access to the user's data and can take appropriate measures and provide information directly. If you still need help, you can contact us.

We operate the following websites and use the following plugins on our website:

10. duration for which the personal data is stored

The criterion for the duration of the storage of personal data is the respective statutory retention period. After this period has expired, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, provided it is no longer required for the fulfilment or initiation of a contract.

If you send us an e-mail via the contact form, your e-mails will be received by the relevant mailboxes and archived there indefinitely.

Your data for the newsletter will be used by us until your cancellation in order to keep you informed about news.

Your data stored in the course of using our online presence will - as far as possible - be deleted when the site is closed.

11. rights of data subjects

You have the right to receive information about your data stored by us and the purpose of storage at any time in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. You can revoke your consent to the storage or use of your personal data in writing at any time. In addition, you have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, Art. 21 GDPR. In addition to the revocation, you have the right to demand the correction (Art. 16 GDPR) as well as the restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and blocking or deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR).

You have the right to contact the relevant supervisory authority (for NRW: the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf) for complaints in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR. You also have the right to receive the data you have provided in a machine-readable format for transmission.

If you have any questions regarding the processing of your personal data, you can also contact us directly (responsible body: see legal notice). For all questions and requests for information, applications or complaints, you can also contact our external data protection officers directly.
